Who we areThe Northwest American Indian Development (NWAID) Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) Program is operated through a Cooperative Agreement with the United States Department of Defense’s (DOD) Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The goal of the Program is to provide contract identification and procurement assistance to reservation-based businesses in the Northwest. NWAID provides information on contract bid opportunities from federal, state, local, and tribal government agencies and large corporations doing business with the government worldwide. NWAID works with government agencies, prime contractors, and state and local governments to help them meet their small business goals by facilitating business relationships with American Indian businesses. NWAID is a non-profit organization, founded and directed by American Indians, to provide assistance to tribes and individuals living both on and off the reservation. This organization is committed to helping American Indian Communities progress toward self-sufficiency through integrated business and economic development activities. Our mission is to develop and expand an American Indian private sector that employs Indian labor, increases the number of viable tribal and individual businesses, and positively impacts and involves reservation communities.
