Who we are and what we do:
The National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (National Center) and Northwest American Indian Development (NWAID) are non-profit organizations, founded and directed by American Indians, to provide assistance to tribes and individuals living both on and off the reservation. These organizations are committed to helping American Indian Communities progress towards self-sufficiency through integrated business and economic development activities.
The Northwest Native American Business Enterprise Center (NW NABEC), operated by the National Center, serves American Indians residing in the states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, both on and off reservation. Management and technical assistance is available for all stages of business from startup through expansion.
The newly established Northwest American Indian Development (NWAID) office operates a Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) to assist Alaska Native Corporations, Tribal Enterprises and Native-Owned Businesses. NWAID provides business and technical assistance to existing reservation-based businesses and tribal enterprises that are interested in doing business with Government Agencies and Prime Contractors. NWAID's service area includes the states of Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
